In line with the MIND Foundation’s core values and our public benefit status, here you find a living archive of reports and related documents. These include the yearly Transparency Report as well as conference reports and eventually further documents.

The first Transparency Report is dated to the year 2022 but covers the MIND Foundation’s activities as far back as 2019. As a supplement to the main report in English and German, you will find a comprehensive annex, consisting of:

(1) Statutes of the MIND Foundation (DE|EN), (2) notice of “Provisional Tax Exemption”, (3) list of registered shareholders, (4) statutes of the MIND Scientific Advisory Board, (5) annual financial statement for the (abbreviated) fiscal year 2020, (6) annual financial statement for fiscal year 2021, (7) MIND brochure (DE|EN), (8) Augmented Psychotherapy brochure (DE|EN), (9) statutes of the Förderverein MIND Foundation gem. e.V.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

We strive to make our programs accessible. Learn how you can join by applying below!

Since our inception, we have wanted to make our content accessible for everyone. As such, our Diversity program was launched in October 2020 to make MIND events, MIND workshops, and trainings accessible to individuals with limited financial resources or who belong to marginalized social groups.

Applicants who are accepted into the program are granted access to our programs at a significantly reduced price or free of charge. In 2021, more than 50 people received significantly discounted or free access to the INSIGHT 2021 conference, Beyond Experience, Footsteps, and other programs. This number is even higher at the INSIGHT 2023 conference at which the high ticket prices coupled with inflation lead to many young scientists applying for discount. In some cases we even granted free MIND memberships enable even more people to become active within our community.

We reserve spots for those accepted in each of our programs. If you have any questions about the DEI Program, send us a message or call.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion FAQ

The DEI Program is an initiative aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our organization and community. It provides opportunities for individuals or groups who may face barriers to participation due to financial constraints, systemic inequalities, or other factors, to access our programs and services at discounted rates or with other forms of support. Through this program, we strive to create a more inclusive and accessible environment where everyone has equal opportunities to participate and benefit from our offerings.

Diversity: Diversity refers to the presence of a wide range of identities, backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences within a group, organization, or community. It encompasses dimensions such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, age, disability, religion, nationality, and more. Embracing diversity involves recognizing, valuing, and celebrating the differences that individuals bring to the table.

Equity (vs. Equality): Equity involves ensuring fairness and impartiality in the treatment of all individuals, particularly by addressing systemic barriers and providing resources or opportunities that are tailored to meet the specific needs of different groups. It goes beyond the concept of equality, which focuses on treating everyone the same, regardless of their circumstances. Equity recognizes that people have different starting points and may require different levels of support to achieve similar outcomes.

Inclusion: Inclusion refers to creating an environment where all individuals feel welcomed, respected, valued, and supported. It involves actively embracing and leveraging diversity to foster a sense of belonging and community. Inclusion goes beyond simply allowing people to participate; it entails actively removing barriers, promoting equal opportunities, and empowering individuals to fully contribute and thrive within the group or organization.

The DEI Program invites individuals from underrepresented or marginalized groups, individuals with disabilities, individuals facing financial hardship, and organizations that serve or advocate for these communities. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and encourage those who believe they would benefit from the program to apply.

  1. Discounted Rates: Eligible participants may receive discounted rates for our programs, events, products, or services.
  2. Scholarships or Grants: In some cases, scholarships or grants may be available to cover partial or full program fees.
  3. Waivers or Fee Exemptions: We may offer waivers or exemptions for certain fees associated with participation in our programs.
  4. Flexible Payment Plans: Flexible payment plans may be available to accommodate individual financial circumstances.
  5. Priority Access or Reserved Spaces: Participants in the program may receive priority access to registration or reserved spaces in high-demand programs or events.
  6. Additional Support Services: Depending on the needs of participants, additional support services such as mentorship, coaching, or accommodations may be provided to ensure a positive and inclusive experience.

The evaluation of applications for our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program is guided by our commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our community. While the specific criteria may vary depending on the nature of the program and available resources, some common considerations include:

  1. Financial Need: We assess the financial circumstances of applicants to determine the level of financial need and the extent to which they may face barriers to participation due to economic constraints.
  2. Underrepresented or Marginalized Identity: We consider whether applicants belong to underrepresented or marginalized groups, including but not limited to racial or ethnic minorities, individuals with disabilities, LGBTQ+ individuals, individuals from low-income backgrounds, and others who may face systemic barriers.
  3. Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: We evaluate applicants' demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within their community or organization, as well as their alignment with the values and goals of our program.
  4. Impact and Potential Benefit: We assess the potential impact and benefit of participation in our programs for both the individual applicant and the broader community, including any opportunities for personal or professional growth, skill development, or community engagement.
  5. Availability of Resources: We consider the availability of resources and funding within our program to ensure that support is allocated equitably and efficiently to those who need it most.
  6. Quality of Application: We review the completeness and quality of each application, including the clarity of the applicant's goals, the relevance of their background and experiences, and the feasibility of their proposed involvement in our programs.
  7. Equitable Distribution: We strive to ensure equitable distribution of support across different demographic groups and program offerings, taking into account factors such as geographic location, organizational size, and program capacity.

Our evaluation process is designed to be fair, transparent, and inclusive, and we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply.

Applicants to our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program will be notified of the status of their application through the contact information provided in their application form. Typically, notifications are sent via email, although in some cases, other communication methods such as phone calls or postal mail may be used.

Once the evaluation process is complete, applicants will receive a notification indicating one of the following outcomes:

  1. Approval: If your application is approved, you will receive detailed information about the specific benefits or discounts you are eligible to receive, as well as any next steps required to access them.
  2. Conditional Approval: In some cases, applicants may receive conditional approval pending additional information or documentation. If this applies to your application, the notification will outline the requirements you need to fulfill to finalize your participation in the program.
  3. Waitlist: If your application is placed on a waitlist, you will be informed of your position on the waitlist and any further instructions or timelines for potential acceptance.
