Impulse Talk

Altered states of consciousness (ASCs) have been used in psychotherapy for decades, and even centuries, to facilitate the bypassing of limiting internal narratives and to enable access to new perspectives from within.

This talk sheds light on the use of stroboscopic light, virtual reality, breathwork, and other techniques—such as meditation and hypnosis—in psychotherapy. Hans Rutrecht will share experiences, insights, and lessons learned from the use of non-pharmacological methods to elicit ASCs in clinical practice, and will outline pathways for how trained therapists can incorporate these approaches into their daily work.

APT Info Session

The talk will be followed by an overview of our Augmented Psychotherapy Training (APT) - with opportunities for Q&A.
