B.Sc Alex Ponikvar

Alex Ponikvar, B.Sc. in psychology, is working as an intern at the MIND Foundation. He assists with a diverse range of tasks, primarily within the operations team. He graduated from Mount Allison University with a Bachelor of Science in psychology, minoring in business and visual & material culture studies. Alex recently worked as a lab assistant at Acadia University, supporting psilocybin research on neurogenesis. Despite the focus being on animals, Alex is intrigued by the topic of neurogenesis and plans to continue with his education to better understand related neuroscientific processes in humans. Through his work at the MIND Foundation, Alex hopes to both benefit from and actively support a community that values holistic, evidence-based approaches to mental health. He looks forward to assisting with APT weeks and to learning from a diverse yet like-minded group of individuals who share his vision for a more compassionate and effective model of care.
